About the Owner:
Years before I met Erik he worked with a local screen company fabricating, cutting glass, and, installing windows, doors, and glass tub enclosures. He loved working with his hands and helping others problem solve to come up with screening solutions to fit their home. Little did I know that one day he would use his experience in the industry to start his own company.
In 2010, he opened RE: Screen & Glass. At the time, his main goal was to see if he could create a thriving business, as well as, to provide for the family. Everything is at risk when anyone decides to go into business for themselves, but he was willing to take that chance ... and I was along for the ride!
When Erik started the business he was driving his first brand new truck and working from a container at home. It didn't take long before he had to trade-in his truck for a work van. A shop, well, it would have to wait for now. He always knew he would get there eventually.
Here we are a few years later and Erik decided he wanted to get his Contractors' License to be able to expand the business. This would allow him take on projects without restrictions and buy material at a lower cost. Happy to report, that in 2015 he fulfilled all the requirements to obtain his Glaziers License. He also has a small shop in Kaneohe to work from that keeps him out of the rain and from having to set-up and break-down each time he has a project to work on. Now, he can service more customers, offer quicker turn-around times, and, store more inventory.
For as long as I have known Erik (a long, long time now) he has always been a very level-headed and reasonable person. His customers appreciate his honesty when it comes to repairing or replacing a broken window or door because he always sees the repair option first before resorting to replacing. He takes pride in his work and work ethic. I know these values have been the foundation for keeping his business going.
MUCH MAHALOS! to all of our customers and we look forward to working with many more of you.
